For any soccer fans on here.
Did you see the fiasco in the World Cup match between England and Germany?
England went two goals down and then scored two perfectly good goals to make the score 2-2 by half time. Well it should have been 2-2 but the 2nd goal the referee did not allow. But it was BLATANTLY OBVIOUS TO EVERYONE that the ball was over the goal -line by almost a yard or a metre but the goal did not stand because the referee and his assistants did not see it.
The TV cameras shew it was obviously a goal. All major sports apart from soccer have this modern technology to prove EXACTLY where the ball is in matters of dispute.Tennis, cricket and most other sports have it but not soccer.
This spoilt the game and was the reason England are now out of the world cup. It was the turning point in the game because from there on it was an up hill battle for England . The psychological advantage of coming out in the second half all square at 2-2 would have made the world of difference.
With England on the attack struggling to equalise left them open at the back and the Germans scored from break aways .
Everyone says that the jammy Germans were the better team but I don't agree . They might have JUST deserved to win but they were LUCKY and there was NEVER a 3 goal difference in the match as the score suggests.
Will there ever be JUSTICE in soccer?
Mexico suffered a similar decision in their match against Argentina again modern technology would have made all the difference.
