Short answer... "It's good for you."

Long answer... I try to point out the metaphysical reasons for the transits, and after listening to them during their initial reading, I usually can see what will be affected strongest, and where they need to do the most work. I point out the next few months/seasons/whatever might be hard and a bit of a struggle, but they are laying the groundwork for future evolution and ease. I try to warn them of counter-productive behavior that might self-sabotage them.

Some people have charts that have a regular "extended thunderstorm." Last chart I did the woman had planets at 3º + 10º + 12º and 15º Virgo. Saturn gave her two very unpleasant years a short while ago. And her next planet is at 15º Libra so Saturn comes in for another blow.

I know other clients who have had, say, a Moon at 22º Scorpio, 2 planets at 22º Taurus, another at 23º Leo and one more at 21º Capricorn. ANY planet hitting 22º is gonna set of a fierce thunderstorm, if a shorter duration that the previous example.

One thought: these people have been living with these charts all their lives. Look back to the last major ball-busting transit and discuss that time period in light of the current one...

And some aspect patterns have a natural flow... example in my chart. I have 5 planets in a T-Square. ANY major transit plays out this way: 19º Uranus to 20, 23 + 24º Venus, Mercury & Sun respectively, then 26º Neptune... so something upsets me (Uranus) and I try to work it through other people(Venus) thinking too much and too egotistically (Mercury, Sun) until I get spiritual and realize I am one with the universe (Neptune). many charts will have a curious "pattern of unfolding events). That can help when trying to help a client through it all.
