When doing a chart by hand, you do all the calculations using the info for the northern hemisphere INCLUDIND the houses, using the tables you have, which are almost always for northern hemisphere. But when you're finished, you simply flip everything, so AC becomes DC, 2nd becomes 8th,3rd becomes 9th and so on. That is how it is done by hand. At astro.com there is an option that lets you change your location for solar returns and I think different progressions... I use it for SRs only so can't say what it does for progs. (To me, progs already say you are moving, and what may change when you do... so you can only match against the "energies" of the new place, much like those of a person in a synastry chart, to see if there is conflict or harmony, so in a synastry chart you may be adjusting to the other chart, not changing your own as is somewhat suggested by a relocation chart... a 3rd house in water... fertile intellect... can become a passionate intellect ... 3rd in fire... in a new location, but is that really the change that happens or simply the opportunity?... Like a leopard's spots don't change places or erase or fall off when it relocates??)
